Waldorf School of Bend is a private, non-profit school dedicated to the Waldorf curriculum. Like many Waldorf schools, our school is governed and operated by the Faculty, Board of Directors and Parent Council working together and dedicated to the mission and values of WSB.
The Faculty & College of Teachers
The Faculty, together with the College of Teachers, sets and carries out important policy directions affecting the school’s educational programs, academic standards, and curriculum development. The College of Teachers ensures that the impulse and intention of Waldorf education is present in every aspect of the curriculum, grounds, and the festival life at Waldorf School of Bend.
The Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is responsible for the fiscal and legal management of the school. It has elected officers and at-large members. The Board is comprised of parents, faculty and community members who are willing to devote time and energy to the legal and financial aspects and long-term vision of the school. From time to time, the Board may delegate certain tasks and responsibilities to committees. Board committees may include members from the community as well as Board and faculty members.
The Administrative Team, led by our Director of Administration, supports the daily operations of the school and serves as a liaison between the Faculty, Board and Parent Council. The Administrative Team is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of the school, and is responsible for enrollment, outreach and office operations.
